IADT's new Virtual Campus will open doors to online degree programs for imaginative, career-focused students.
Since 1984, the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa has been a creative haven for students wishing to pursue career-focused degree programs in a broad range of fields, including Fashion Design and Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design, Digital Photography, Digital Production, Computer Animation, Recording Arts, and many others. The Academy has experienced rapid growth and in 2005 moved its primary facility to a sleekly modern, technologically advanced campus. On May 1, 2007, the Academy is scheduled to make another big move when it begins accepting enrollments for four career-focused degree programs that can be earned entirely online through the Virtual Campus of IADT Online. Accessible almost anywhere and applicable nearly everywhere in our graphics-driven society, the Academy's first four real-world degree programs that can be completed entirely online include: Associate of Science in Graphic Design Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design Associate of Science in Web Design Bachelor of Fine Arts in Web Development Once they discover the student-centric nature of this envelope-pushing virtual campus, creative students across North America may be choosing IADT Online for a number of different reasons. Associate of Science in Web Design
For students interested in pursuing a career in the competitive field of web design, the Academy's Associate of Science degree program in Web Design is designed to prepare them with a real-world understanding of the roles and responsibilities of today's web designers in the modern workplace. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Web Development
For more advanced studies, the Academy also offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in Web Development. In this dynamic curriculum, students focus on hands-on projects and professional portfolio and résumé building as they have an opportunity to acquire career-specific skills in multimedia design, programming, scripting, advanced 3D modeling and much more.

For students just embarking on a creative career path, the Academy's Associate of Science degree program in Graphic Design is structured to provide a real-world understanding of the roles and responsibilities of today's graphic designers in the modern workplace. By studying the fundamentals of computer graphics, advertising and design, students can learn how to work with clients to help them communicate ideas visually. They will also be instructed how to generate creative ideas for packaging, imaging and design as they become comfortable with graphics programs like PhotoShop and Illustrator. By learning the basic theories of advertising, layout, type, color and illustration, graduates of the A.S. degree program in Graphic Design can prepare themselves to become Jr. Art Directors, Graphic Designers, Electronic Publishers and many other in-demand positions in the creative workforce.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design
To help meet the demand for more experienced creative professionals, IADT Online will also begin accepting applications for enrollment into its Bachelor of Fine Art degree program in Graphic Design. Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising
The Fashion Merchandising degree program at the International Academy of Design and Technology-Online allows students the opportunity to receive a well-rounded education in the constantly evolving world of fashion. This new program can help to prepare students for exciting careers as assistant buyers, fashion consultants, fashion event planners and store managers.
