The Bachelor of Science in Business/Administration program is designed for the working adult employed in a business or public organization. The Major stresses skill development in the areas of financial accounting, managerial finance, quantitative analysis, economics, marketing, and business-based research.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program is focused on the acquisition of theory and technical competencies associated with the information technology profession. RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education,* is designed to develop the professional knowledge and skills of working registered nurses. The curriculum is built upon a foundation of biological, physical, and social sciences which contribute to the science of nursing. The liberal arts components enhance the development of the intellectual, social, and cultural aspects of the professional nurse.
Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration program is designed to enhance the management skills students need to function effectively within an organization. Students will create and defend their solutions to problems of crisis management, profitable growth opportunities, and change leadership. Throughout the program, students gain experience in distilling a situation into a well-defined problem; applying tools and concepts to analyze a variety of alternative solutions; and selecting and defending their recommended course of action.The Master of Business Administration program at University of Phoenix utilizes problem-based learning where students refine their problem solving skills along with their communication, creativity, information utilization, and critical thinking skills. They are assessed on the basis of their use of the problem solving process (which employs a general rubric) as well as their communication and critical thinking skills during their presentation.Learning teams will apply the principles of benchmarking throughout the program to research the most creative solutions to a problem. This will enrich the alternatives that learners consider in evaluating possible solutions to the problems.The MBA consists of 39 credit hours and includes three proficiency courses (MBA 501, MBA 502, MBA 503) which may be satisfied using an undergraduate business degree, undergraduate coursework or graduate coursework. Students may also waive an additional nine credits using graduate courses and may qualify for a 21-credit hour residency.
Master of Business Administration-Health Care Management
The Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Health Care Management (MBA/HCM) is designed to provide students with the business management skills needed to manage successfully in today's health care delivery systems. The MBA/HCM program emphasizes the identification, analysis, and solution of complex management problems with a foundation of health care concepts and decision models that will support the variety of management roles that can be seen in today's health care environment. The MBA/HCM specialization is based upon courses in health care organizations, health care finance, quality and data base management, health care infrastructure, and health care strategic management.
Master of Business Administration-Technology Management
The Master of Business Administration/Technology Management program is designed to enhance the management skills students need to function effectively within a technology organization. Students will create and defend their solutions to technology- based problems of crisis management, profitable growth opportunities, and change leadership. Throughout the program, students gain experience in distilling a situation into a well- defined problem; applying tools and concepts to analyze a variety of alternative solutions; and selecting and defending their recommended course of action.
Master of Management/Human Resources
The Master in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management (MBA/HRM) program is designed to meet the needs of a broad but unique population - the working adult manager or supervisor who could benefit from a graduate business education. Because the tools of the human resources management science are applicable to the problems of the public sector as well as the private sector, students whose career interests involve not-for-profit enterprise are also encouraged to seek admission. The MBA/HRM program requires a practical background in business, and the successful candidate will have a least three years of relevant experience.

The Bachelor of Science in Health Administration (BSHA) major is designed to integrate a foundation of general education and applied sciences with the expertise that prepares the graduate for management positions in health care. The Bachelor of Science in Health Administration curriculum addresses the basic body of knowledge, understanding, and skills identified to be relevant to health care administration.
Continuing Teacher Education
The College of Education at the University of Phoenix Online offers over 80 individual professional growth courses in areas such as technology, special education, reading, math, middle school, administration and early childhood. Some of these graduate level courses may lead to endorsement in a specialty area such as bilingual education or reading. These courses are offered in a concentrated and intensive format consisting of three workshop meetings that are 100% online. Human Resource Management Certificate
The Certificate Program in Human Resource Management addresses issues that the human resource employee faces daily, from legal matters to staff recruitment and development. This program series is designed for those who have functional responsibility to carry out the duties of an organization's human resource department; seasoned human resource staff members wishing to keep current; newcomers to the field requiring new knowledge and skills; or specialists wanting to broaden their knowledge. Major topic areas that are covered include the role of human resources; employment practices; employment law; compensation; benefits, safety, and health; and employee development. The Master of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting (MBA/ACC) is designed to develop or enhance the financial management skills necessary to function effectively within private businesses, non-profit organizations, and public agencies. The program concentrates on managing human and fiscal resources within the structure, culture, and mission of any organization. The curriculum addresses advanced costing techniques, accounting theory, accounting information systems, issues in corporate taxation, executive management, budgeting, human resources management, organizational development, conflict management, strategic planning, information management, and decision making, among other subjects.

The Masters of Information Systems (MIS) program is focused on the acquisition of information technology theory and the application of theory and practice to real world business opportunities and challenges. The courses provide current theory and knowledge of essential information technology. While courses examine a broad range of information technology resources, the courses emphasize the management of such resources in order to meet an organization's challenges and goals. The program has five main threads:

The Master of Management program (MM) is designed to enhance the management skills needed to function effectively within an organization. Students focus on leadership and management-the human side of an organization. This program emphasizes emerging management theory, techniques, and practices, and incorporates feedback and key competencies from senior business executives, curriculum-design experts, and university academic professionals. The MM program develops management skills in defining business problems, assessing information, considering alternatives, and choosing the best solutions. Graduates attain the skill sets necessary to evaluate and manage the challenges facing contemporary organizations. The MM program consists of 39 credit hours. Thirty credit hours constitute the core curriculum and nine additional credit hours complete the MM program. The final trio of courses allows the student to customize the degree program in a given specialization by focusing on current developments and business problems and issues relative to the specialization. The core begins with a three-credit, six-workshop program prerequisite-Managerial Communication and Ethics-designed to build strategies for success in the program. The remainder of the core courses provides a foundation of analytic and conceptual skills for effective managerial decision making in the real-world organization. Those students in the MM without specialization will complete three additional prescribed courses to hone their problem-solving skills. The final three courses prepare students for executive leadership and decision-making roles in general management. The principle outcome will be the completion of a project introduced in the first of the three specialization courses. The project is completed and presented in the final course of the program. The University of Phoenix has created interactive, multimedia, case-based simulations for its graduate business courses. These simulations place students into real-world environments and require them to apply critical thinking skills to decision-making situations. This discovery process allows students to apply critical thinking skills to decision-making situations. Each simulation offers learners the opportunity to identify the information required to solve the problem, assess alternative solutions, and receive feedback on their choices.
Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Business Administration / Health Care Management
The Master of Science in Nursing/Master of Business Administration/Health Care Management (MSN/MBA/HC) program is designed to provide nurses with a unique blend of advanced nursing and business management skills needed to manage today's innovative health care delivery systems. The program combines essentials from both degree programs to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to enhance and support patient services. The MSN/MBA/HCM program emphasizes the identification, analysis, and solution of complex management problems that require technical understanding and balanced decision making. Although a functional knowledge of accounting, finance, and management underlies the program, equal attention is given to the development of report writing, oral reporting, and group process skills.
Master of Business Administration/Public Administration
The Master of Business Administration/Public Administration program MBA/PA) is designed to enhance the management skills students need to function effectively within an organization. Emphasis is placed on quantitative analysis of business information to improve business decision making. To prepare students for this decision-making role, the MBA/PA has been designed to introduce the theory or principles that frame a wide range of problems or issues in each of the courses. The most current techniques or tools are applied to these theories to allow students to practice making decisions to solve a wide range of problems. The College of Graduate Business and Management has created interactive, multimedia, case-based simulations for its graduate business courses that place students in real-world environments and require them to apply critical thinking skills to decision making situations. Each simulation offers learners the opportunity to identify the information required to solve the problem, assess alternative solutions, and receive feedback on their choices.
Project Management Certificate
Project management is becoming a leading career choice for professionals who manage and implement projects and systems changes within an organization. To accommodate this emerging career path, the University of Phoenix provides a comprehensive project management program that equips professionals with the skills necessary to manage projects of varying sizes and degrees of complexity through successful team and project leadership. The courses are designed to provide outcomes that translate into improved performance. Course instructors are also practitioners in the field who integrate real-world experiences. Their experiences, combined with theoretical knowledge and Microsoft���® Project software instruction, provide thorough expertise in this complex field.
